About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Officer to join our finance team. This role is responsible for delivering accurate, timely, and compliant financial transaction processing to support both project delivery and corporate operations.
You will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of accounts payable, performing bank reconciliations, administering project costs, and managing expenses. Your work will directly contribute to reliable financial reporting and strong internal controls across the business.
Working closely with the Senior Financial Business Partner and Project Accountant, you will support financial accuracy, operational efficiency, and commercial accountability. Core Responsibilities
- Process financial transactions accurately and on time across accounts payable, corporate credit cards, employee expenses, and project cost systems, maintaining strong internal and data integrity
- Manage the end to end accounts payable function, including invoice verification, coding, approvals, supplier onboarding, payment processing, and supplier relationship management
- Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations, proactively identifying and resolving discrepancies to support accurate financial reporting
- Support project accounting through consultant cost setup, maintenance of cost records, and preparation of project related claims and documentation
- Administer corporate card and expense processes in line with company policy, ensuring compliance and audit readiness
- Assist with month end close activities and contribute to ongoing improvements in finance systems, processes, and stakeholder support
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor degree in accounting or related discipline [completed or near completion]
- Exposure to accounting or finance functions within construction, property development, or project based environments [desirable]
- Experience supporting accounting processes across multiple entities or projects [desirable]
- Working knowledge or foundational understanding of project accounting principles and practices [desirable]
- Basic understanding of the Australian corporate and taxation framework, with a willingness to develop further knowledge
