About The Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented go-getter to be our next Caretaker and gardener, focused on the care and maintenance and onsite onsite pool at our Rochdale and Richland developments.

You will join part of a team of dedicated Caretakers assisting with the cleanliness, functionality and overall appearance of 6 complexes based in Richlands and 1 in Rochedale.


Core Responsibilities:

Groundskeeping

  • Maintain and enhance the appearance of the common area gardening, including lawns, gardens, median strips and internal shared areas
  • Maintain cleanliness, functionality and orderly presentation of all common areas including pathways, driveways, restrooms and other public spaces
  • Perform routine gardening tasks such as watering, trimming, pruning, weeding, raking, planting, mulching and fertilizing throughout the community and external areas
  • Conduct regular inspections of the townhouse complexes to identify & action maintenance needs and oversee maintenance works with external contractors as needed
  • Monitor and maintain the condition of common areas, ensuring cleanliness, safety and presentation

Day to Day Onsite

  • Foster a positive and welcoming community atmosphere through courteous and respectful interactions
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential safety hazards & ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures

Reporting and Documentation

  • Report any significant issues or emergencies to the management team
  • Provide date for regular reports on maintenance operations, day to day caretaking, and resident feedback
  • Provide administration support where required, aiding community operations and compliance

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Great attitude and cultural fit
  • Previous gardening, facilities maintenance or caretaking experience is essential
  • Basic knowledge of maintenance tasks such as cleaning, general maintenance, repairs or other transferable experience would be advantageous
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour tasks
  • Horticulture, Parks and Gardens or Landscape study or certification would be favourably viewed
